Mission Trip 2011

It has been long I didn't update anything here

Because Im not in Moscow all this while

Hey,Im in Malaysia 

It's summer break !

Remember I told you before

=D

And I appreciate that I got a chance to get involve in the community service and medical aids in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam

This program was run by Malaysian Fellowship in Moscow

Yeah

Actually this was a program that mainly focus in providing medical aids in rural areas more that 14 countries ( I think)

And I were chosen to join the only team to South Vietnam this year

This is a very meaningful program 

It allocates medical students to get themselves in medical fields 

To experience the real live of a doctor

(Even though I don't really know anything in medicine,coz Im just first year student -.-)

Besides we went to several orphanages and old folks home

Some more interesting places

I went to a blind center and a place accommodates numbers of handicaps 

This make me realized that there are still a huge number in the world who are less fortunate and need help 

I LEARNED TO BE APPRECIATE TO WHAT I'M HAVING NOW

People 

Be appreciate Be contented Be cheerful

Life is nothing but just that 

 

UMNO Sport Carnival

I like sports

Hmm

Not many will believe that

Today I woke up early in the morning 

I went to sport zal (hall)

To attend the sport carnival

Nah...

Not because Im joining in any games

But I were on duty

Paramedic duty

Erm

Some kinds like first aids assisting

That's a not bad experience

Even though I prefer in joining sport events rather than that

But I gained some experience here

As least I learned to be sporting in handling injuries

Frankly say that

That's a good event la

Is an event to help us explore more friendships

Grab more chances to communicate with others

Kinda await for the coming event in April

This time we are going out of the town

Wish it's will bring a lot of fun and foods 

Haha

P.s : Today is the first day of switching off the daylight saving time
Remember to switch off the light tonight to support the Earth hour
Now Moscow time is 4:12pm
Our distance been shorten by 1 hour

It's only 4 hours gap now
Yet I know
Not because of the 1 hour difference that build a bridge between us
 Is the sign that indicating the coming of the spring
And of course
My SUMMER BREAK =)

Ending of Holidays

Im in Moscow already

School has been started since last 2 weeks

Yup

I skipped 2 weeks classes

Hmm

I think not a big problems for us

Mahasiswa and Mahasiswi

As long as we can catch up what we had missed during lecture and tutorial

I transited my flight at Abu Dhabi

And waited there for about 7 hours

By doing nothings

It's harsh to leave Malaysia

And turn your holidays mode off

Gotta be hurry

And please do remember to pass your visa to dekanat(dean's office)

Before You Leave

If not

You have to pay for it

I mean the penalty

and a lot of procedures you have to redo

Headache

Recently the Malaysia news is heboh-ing about the quality of medical students from Russia

Some more

We are always being exposed in exploitation 

What can we do?

Why don't they think for us 

We are just pity foreign students

 Finally

Please to think DEEPLY before deciding to further your studies overseas

It's inevitable to be exploited

That's the darkness of the another side of the world

AND

Don't trust any agency

They are suckers

Just Get Started

There been a rule in Moscow here

Everyone must grab all the credits before you can sit for the finals

And

For every credit (so called Zhachut)

We will have to sit for the credit test

A small test to examine what you have really learned in the whole semester

For certain classes

If you get some kind teachers

They will let you pass the test easily 

And then you can end your class earlier

But if you get a strict teacher

Haha,just pray you can pass the exam smoothly

Now

I already grabbed all the credits

And successfully went through the finals

How nice

Just made it in time

Before I went back Malaysia

Here come my winter holidays

The winter holidays last for  3 weeks

Normally until the first week of Febuary

Now I just have it started

My First Anatomy Class

Our class has been started for 4 days

I think

But by not knowing why

Our class always been canceled without a reasonable reason

So,we always go home early

Maybe I should feel happy

BUT

Now,I feel guilty

Maybe because I put too high expectation on this university

Uni life isnt like this in my opinion

In my opinion

My class schedule should always pack with lecture class

Loads of assignments

You can hardly understand what teacher is talking in front of the class room

Because of the speaking slang

I think I really need to work harder here

I dont really able to jot down the teacher's notes

I want a text book

I want back to normal

Maybe I will find out my ways of study soon

Im comforting myself

Maybe the education system here is good enough

I will know soon

We learned the structure of spinal cord
Some are real human structures some are not

This fellow sit behind us when our class was going on

Look clearly,but still cant see his/her face

Actually today is my 3rd days in university

BUT

Because of some stupid stuff 

We are not able to have our class as USUAL

 I think

Firstly,because of the visa renewal

We had to renew our visa by today

as it expired today

So 

We were informed our first class,that is Latin language class cancelled

So

We waited at the admin floor stupidly for more than 1 hour

BUT

It still unable to complete in time

 So

We had our whole day class cancelled

May I say that we are lucky actually,

Due to we are not having class after 1pm

So we can go to library to collect our books

I really cannot understand

Why such an advance country,MOSCOW

The system of library in university is so lame

The are still using manpower to do every recording,tabulating

Without any assistance of technology

We waited there for them to collect all those books and sign to prove that we took those books

We waited there for about 3 hours 

With our huge luggage ! 

 We had our expensive lunch in university

Barley rice 

Meat balls

Salad 

And this all make up a sum of 106 Rubles!

So so so expensive la ! ! !

Notebook 9 Rubles each 36 Rubles in total

Foods here are so much expensive la

A simple bread will cost 18 Rubles

I think the cheapest food is bread

Plain bread 20 Rubles something

Fresh veggies are so rare here

A tomato will cost almost 10 Rubles which means almost RM 1 each

Taugeh (Bean sprout) costs 55 Rubles for small packets

A whole chicken costs 140++ Rubles

I know cooking is time consuming la

But I think my mama and papa will prefer me to cook something healthy 

I will keep the effort

Take care of myself well and not to let them worry

Im very fine here

We reached here on 21Sept 2010 at almost 2030pm Moscow time which equivalent to 0030am Malaysia time

We are not really can adapt ourselves to the time gap here , and we did feel sleepy that time

We do feel warm because we were warm welcomed by our seniors

The temperature when time we reached here is almost 8°C , and it’s really freaking cold !

Must prepare well in your winter clothing,sweaters,shawl..
And alot of Malaysian foods you like
Or else you are gonna to regret in the next one year
Because here
People only eat breads,potatoes,and food in cans
No fresh veggie,meats,fish
Oh ~I Miss Malaysia <3
